The colors and texture of Fernware are designed to reflect the atmosphere of the evergreen forest.
The base glaze is a sage green matte layered under a waxy matte white that mottles with the red iron colored clay underneath.
I often use ferns picked from nearby to imprint on the clay before it is fired.
All my glazes are food safe, microwave safe and oven proof.
